I forgot to share with you my Target finds from Sunday. I have to say, I was disappointed when I went to Target! Most of their shelves and bins were very empty and I had money to burn! It’s that how it is? When you WANT to spend you can’t find anything to spend it on?
Well here is what I found, and they were ALL on a sale of some sort! Even the $1 bin was 30% off:
- Paper Lanterns for $2!! Those will be owls here VERY soon!
- Ice cube trays. Those are 10 holes and will be used for 10 frames practice! (I saw this from another blogger and wish I remembered who so I could tag them!)
- Owl vinyl to stick in my calendar area!
- Tubs. We can NEVER have too many tubs!
- The tin holder was in the summer picnic area. I could SO use that at my horse-shoe table to hold all my supplies!
So after I got home, I told the husband that I was going to add an owl to that tin holder! So I grabbed my cricut, my owl cartridge, some vinyl, and got to work! This was the first time that I layered vinyl. Whew! That was a tough one! But here it is:

Isn’t he cute??
It took a few tries but then I got the hang of it!!
Have y’all noticed the amount of owl decorations that are out there? My friend Tanya from Mrs. Dwyers A+ Fristies, started pointing it out! So, the past few days I have noticed that owls are “the thing” this year! It seems like anything educational or kid decorations have an owl theme. I am just excited to have jumped on board. Hopefully, the kids have the same excitement when they walk into their 1st grade classroom this coming year!
So before I head off to my MRTC class, I wanted to shout out to some giveaways! By the way, I am at 39 followers… WHOA! Thank you to all my BF (Blogging Friends!) I already have a prize in mind for 50!! ;o)
The first one is at Tonya’s Treats, she has 300 followers! That’s amazing! Her prizes include $$$ to her TPT store!\
Also, you already hear my shout out to Tanya at A+ Firsties above, but she is having a give away for having 300 followers too! Make sure to follow her! Maybe we can get to 400 even faster! ;)
The last giveaway to blog about it from Wild About Teaching. 500 followers! Whoohoo! She is going to give away a gift card to TPT as well as, fun prizes that other bloggers have made!
Hope everyone has a happy Tuesday! Comment and let me know what your plans are for today and to let me know you stopped by! I hope to come home and finish a few owl things I have started and share a poster I made to help parents read aloud at home!
It was me. I had the ice cube trays aren't they cute. I love your owls, if I wasn't doing bees I would so be having owls in my room they are so stinkin' cute! I plan to hang with my 2 little kiddos and watch movies. My oldest hibernates in the basement ALL the time. Have a great day!!

I love your finds! Unfortunately my Target didn't have anything like that when I checked it out today. I might have to go Target hopping. I love the buckets & lanterns that you found! :)
